HR Manager
Job Description:
Onsite with flexibility | Multi‑site healthcare organisation | Dural‑based
This is a rare opportunity to step into a true stand‑alone HR Manager role within a growing, well‑established healthcare organisation with locations across NSW, ACT and VIC. The business has built a strong reputation for commercial discipline, operational excellence, and high‑quality service delivery, supporting doctors and clinical teams to perform at their best.
With modern facilities, a stable leadership team, and continued expansion, the organisation combines the feel of a medium‑sized business with the complexity of a multi‑site environment. It is practical, grounded, and delivery‑focused — a place where HR plays a central role in keeping operations running smoothly and consistently.
The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Human Resources Manager is the sole HR practitioner in the business, responsible for the full employee lifecycle across all centres. This is a hands‑on, broad generalist role that blends day‑to‑day advisory work with longer‑term improvements to systems, processes, and leadership capability.
You will work closely with centre managers and operational leaders, providing clear, practical guidance and ensuring the business remains compliant, stable, and well‑supported. The environment is fast‑paced and operational, with a strong emphasis on common sense, responsiveness, and commercial judgement.
This is not a role for someone who needs a large HR team around them — it suits someone who enjoys autonomy, can self‑direct, and is comfortable making decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day HR support across all centres, including coaching managers on performance, conduct, and people leadership
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including contracts, onboarding, performance reviews, and cyclical HR processes
- Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act, NES, and relevant Modern Awards
- Lead early intervention on ER matters and manage formal processes when required
- Own and manage Employment Hero, driving adoption, accuracy, and continuous improvement
- Support workforce planning, staffing levels, and organisational structure
- Develop practical engagement, retention, and capability‑building initiatives
- Partner with managers to maintain consistent standards and a high‑performing culture
About You
You will thrive here if you are:
- Experienced in a stand‑alone or highly autonomous HR role, ideally in a multi‑site or operational environment
- Commercially minded, practical, and able to simplify complex issues
- Confident in performance management, coaching, and difficult conversations
- Comfortable balancing day‑to‑day advisory work with proactive improvements
- Strong on systems, ideally with hands‑on experience using Employment Hero
- A relationship‑builder who stays connected to managers and teams
- Organised, responsive, and able to manage competing priorities across sites
This role suits someone who enjoys being close to operations, understands the realities of a service‑driven workforce, and can operate with confidence without needing constant escalation points.
